MacBook Air M3 suddenly shut down when it battery reach 30% to 40%

I'm using a MacBook Air M3. It shuts down abruptly when the battery reaches 30% to 40%. I need to charge it and turn it on with the power button. When it is awake, it shows my lock screen with a loading bar at the bottom, the battery always shows 11%, and all applications remain unchanged, as if they were frozen when the MacBook suddenly died.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.5

Is "State of Charge (%):" actually blank? It looks blank in your screenshot. Usually that indicates some sort of hardware issue....probably with the battery.

Ignore the battery information on the login screen since it will most likely be incorrect. You need to log into the laptop in order to get the battery charge level. This has been a problem for at least the past several years now.

That is a classic example of a failing battery.

Best place to start to confirm: Please find the System Information App in Applications > Utilities or open Launch Pad and search for it. When it opens, you will have a window with a contents pane on the left. In that pane, find "Power" and click it to get this:

There are three metrics under "Health Information." On your computer, what are those values?
