Photo & its Caption to photobook

In short, i want to simply choose photos on my phone including the photo CAPTION and DATE, from my iPhone and pop them into a scrapbook. IMPORTANT MUST: I don’t want to type the caption IN THE scrapbook… I want the caption from each photo to be PULLED into the scrapbook from my iPhone.

Here is what I do:

  • I take photos using my iPhone,
  • At night, I swipe up on each photo and add a “Caption” (story about that specific photo) so that I don’t forget the details or story about that photo

This is what I want:

  • open photos on my iphone
  • select all the photos I want in my scrapbook. Caption and Date are a MUST
  • export the photo including its caption and date to a 12x12 photobook
  • modify as needed
  • print
  • Pay crazy amount of money ;)

i know there are tons of printing places and scrapbook tools… so please don’t provide that information… I am looking for help SPECIFIC to pulling date, captions and photo TOGETHER into a scrapbook from my iPhone.

Imagine the quick and thoughtful Christmas, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Grandparent gifts you can create with this? Even better if you could ship (gift wrapped) direct to them.

Please help.

Cheers!

You don't say if you have a Mac. In Photos on the Mac, you use Print>Contact Sheet:

which sounds just like what you want.

With Contact Sheet on the Mac, you can print pictures with a variety of information

and you can have 1 or 2 or many pictures per page.

It can be printed as a PDF, if you don't want to use up lots of paper.

With the only service that I have used for making prints, mpix.com, I printed some books, but I had to type in short descriptions with dates. Captions can be very long (I have some that are maybe 20 and more lines) so I think it's hard for a company to accommodate all possibilities.

That would be down to the scrapbook tool you are using. Whether or not they support that data.

The Date and caption are part of the Meta Data of the picture in Photos. Exporting the photo from Photos, should include that data, and then it’s up to the scrapbook app or service to access and display it.

There is no setting in Photos to push or restrict that data.
