I backed up my iphone 13 to transfer data to my iPhone 16plus, unfortunately I cannot use my verification apps as the information stored in them was erased. Is there any way to check my cloud back up and retrieve.

Presumably you mean an authentication code-generating app similar to Google Authenticator ???
If the data didn’t transfer AND you’ve already erased the old phone …
… the data is possibly irretrievable.
Check with the vendor of the authenticator app to determine if you might have other possible data recovery alternatives.
iCloud backup for an iPhone is “all or nothing” process … there’s no means to “reach-in” and retrieve specific files.
