macOS Apple Photos Points on Tone Curves

I use macOS 15.5 and Apple Photos to edit RAW images. Sometimes I manage to remove a point on the tone curve by dragging one unto another but it's random. Most times they just stack up. That's mighty annoying to say the least.

Does anybody know how to properly remove points on the tone curve in Apple Photos?
