How can I clear "all photos" after adding to an album on my iPad?

Is there a way to clear up “all photos” so that once you’ve added a photo to an album or folder, it doesn’t appear in the “all photos” listing? Like Windows File Explorer? Once a document is in a folder it doesn’t appear in the root. Thanks for any help.

"All Photos" is per definition the place, where you will always find All Photos. We are supposed to build our own albums structure on top of this.

If you are using iCloud Photos, there is an easy way to get the photos already in albums out of sight in "All Photos". You just have to enable the Shared iCloud Photos Library and move all photos you have added to albums to the Shared iCloud Photos Library, while the photos that need organizing will remain in the personal library. You can easily switch with the toggle switch between viewing the photos from both libraries together or view only the shared library with your finished albums or the unorganized mess in the personal library that still needs sorting in albums. You can use the filter in the Library view:

Keep in mind that one of the powerful features of Photos is that pictures can be in more than one album without taking up any extra space. The picture of "Aunt Ethel at the Grand Canyon" can be in the "Aunt Ethel" album with other pictures of Aunt Ethel, and it can also be in the "Grand Canyon"  album with pictures of other people at the Grand Canyon. And it can also be in a the "September 2015" album with other things that happened then. Each album is pointing to a single file stored in the Photos Library, so having pictures in multiple albums takes up no more storage space. As you can imagine, this is very powerful in organizing pictures. So don't let the "Not in an Album" filter hide pictures that you might pick for other albums. Windows Explorer is a File Manager System, not an Image Management System, so the tools are rather different.
