There is no automatic method that is going to remove apps that you have explicitly chosen to install, since installing those apps require your Administrator name and password. Any app that claims it will clean your computer is just going to give you more problems. The most common of those apps is CleanMyMac, and is known around here as BrickMyMac. It does more harm than good by sometimes deleting files that are necessary for your computer to run and some users have had to completely wipe their computer and reinstall the OS.

Your tag line indicates that you have a MacBook Air running macOS 14.7 (Sonoma). If that is correct, it must be one of the following models:

• An Intel-based 2018, 2019, or 2020 MacBook Air
• A M1, M2, or M3 MacBook Air

All of these have at least 8 GB of RAM, and a SSD. The CPUs and GPUs in the Intel models are not barn-burners – but neither would I expect those Macs to be unbearably slow for basic productivity application and Web browsing use.
