How to securely mount the VESA adapter on the Apple Studio Display?

Hi everyone. Three years ago, I set up a Zero Gravity Workspace. Since I suffer from severe neck pain, this is the only position in which I can work.

Recently, I started upgrading my setup and decided to replace my Dell monitor with an Apple Studio Display. I specifically needed a display with a built-in webcam, microphone, and speakers. I bought the version with the native VESA mount instead of the stand. However, after unboxing it, I discovered that the instructions explicitly state not to tilt the monitor downward more than 5 degrees.

Of course, this contradicts the concept of a Zero Gravity Workspace, where the monitor is tilted downward at a minimum of 45 degrees and you look up at it. I decided to ignore the warning and tilt the monitor to the angle I need. Technically, nothing is stopping me from doing that. But at that point, I realized just how flimsy the native VESA adapter attachment is. Essentially, it inserts into the same slot where the original stand attaches. And the mount itself looks like a thin horizontal metal plate. Elsewhere, the adapter just rests against the monitor — a sheet of paper easily slides between the adapter and the display, indicating that there are no other attachment points.

I conducted a deep research session using ChatGPT to find out if I could take the risk and ignore the manual’s recommendation. Apparently, it’s possible — but at my own risk. However, I don’t want my $1650 display to fall and break. Even more, I don’t want this 6-kilogram piece of metal with sharp corners falling on my face. So I wanted to ask here — is it possible to somehow modify the Apple Studio Display’s body or adapter to make it more securely mounted when tilted downward?
