Need help mirroring my iPad to an LG TV

I tapped the screen mirroring icon, and that’s it , no response, no TV showing up in the list.

Do I need to change any settings on the TV itself?

Looks like your LG probably doesn’t support AirPlay, as others already said.

If you’re okay with using a cable, you can connect your iPad like this: Connect iPad to a display with a cable – Apple Support (UK)

If you want a wireless option, try a screen mirroring app from the App Store, like DoCast. It lets you stream videos or photos and mirror your iPad screen. Just make sure your iPad and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network - that’s important for it to work.
