2021 macbook air screen freezes, can’t connect to internet in safe mode

When I start my computer the screen is frozen but cursor moves but won’t do anything. I’m in a hotel and when I try to restart in safe mode I have no way to connect to the internet. I’ve redownloaded Sequioa at home a couple of times. I’m not home to use a Time Machine backup. Sometimes it seems to work fine but then the screen freezes again on startup. I’m at a conference and really need my computer. This has been happening off and on now since I think I first loaded Sequoia. Sequoia caused huge issues on my iMac way back when but was able to resolve the issue eventually. I feel like I’ve tried everything I can find on the internet with no success yet.
