MacBook Air so slow and Cricut app not responding

I have a 2013 MacBook Air and primarily use it to edit photos and use my Cricut. I last used my Cricut a couple months ago with no issues. Last time I tried to use it the app wouldn’t load. And the internet wouldn’t work either. It said the page wasn’t supported. Wi-Fi is connected no problem. I think it’s because it’s old. Not sure if it needs a reboot or if it’s just time for a new one. I have some Cricut projects to do so I need to use my computer it just won’t work! I even tried deleting the Cricut app and redownloading it. The App Store then wouldn’t load either. Maybe someone can walk me through a refresh?

According to the Cricut site, the current version of the Design Space application available on their Web site requires macOS 12 (Monterey) or later . A 2013 MacBook Air cannot run anything higher than macOS 11 (Big Sur). So would that suggest that you might have an old version of the application?

There is a "Design Space Maker for Cricut" application in the App Store. It runs on Cataliina, but if you look carefully at the description, you will see that it is not by Cricut. ("Disclaimer: This application is not an official Cricut app and is not affiliate by Cricut, Inc.").
