Hide my email cannot contact server

I use Hide my email all the time, but on my new phone I get an error message stating that “Verification failed. There was a problem connecting to the server”. I’ve tried logging out and into iCloud, defining an iCloud email account, but nothing seems to work

Here's how to fix the "Verification failed. There was a problem connecting to the server" error when using Hide My Email:

First, make sure your iPhone has a strong internet connection. If you're using Wi-Fi, try switching networks or turning Airplane Mode on and off to reset the connection.

Next, restart your phone. Press and hold the side button along with either volume button until the slider appears, then slide to power off. Wait about 30 seconds before turning it back on.

Also, sometimes the problem is with Apple's servers. Visit Apple’s System Status page to check if Hide My Email or iCloud are experiencing issues.

If everything looks good there, toggle your iCloud Private Relay and Hide My Email settings. Go to Settings, tap your name at the top, choose iCloud, and turn Private Relay off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. Do the same for Hide My Email.

Another common issue is incorrect date and time settings. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and make sure the option "Set Automatically" is turned on.

If you're still experiencing the problem, try resetting your network settings. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone> Reset > Reset Network Settings. Remember, you'll need to rejoin your Wi-Fi network afterward.

Also, make sure your iPhone software is up to date by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Apple updates often resolve connection problems.

If none of these steps work, signing out and then signing back into your Apple ID can help. Go to Settings, tap your name, scroll down, and select Sign Out. After signing out, restart your phone and then sign back into your Apple ID.

If these steps still don't fix the issue, it's best to contact Apple Support, as the problem could be related to your Apple ID account specifically.
