when i am in iCloud to back up my windows 10 laptop, is it safe to stay signed in? Or should i always sign out of iCloud when back up is completed? i look at this question as a security issue vs convenience staying signed in.

Hello, it is safer to sign out of your Apple Account on your non-Apple device, especially if you wouldn't use it at that time. A malware could have access to your Apple Account data if your PC was hacked.
