Final Cut Pro not accepting my .MOV file

Final Cut Pro will not accept my .mov file but I have no problem uploading to iMovie

You need to tell us more about that file. Just saying .mov is not enough, since this is just a container, and the contents may have used one of several different codecs.


Please open this file withe MediaInfo or Invisor, and post a screenshot of the file details.


Does the file open in Quicktime Player?

You may be able to transcode this file into a format that FCP can work with, either from Quicktime Player, or directly in Finder: Control-click, and choose Encode Selected Video Files.
