Siri Unable to Send Messages via Messenger

Hello,

I’m having an issue using Siri with Facebook Messenger on my iPhone. Whenever I try to send a message using Siri, I get an error saying: “Something went wrong.”

Here’s what I’ve confirmed:

  • Siri works correctly with other messaging apps on my device.
  • Messenger works with Siri on other iPhones, so the issue seems isolated to my device/account.

I’ve already tried:

  • Reinstalling Messenger
  • Resetting Siri
  • Toggling Siri permissions
  • Changing the language to English (UK)
  • Updating IOS and Messenger
  • Restarting the phone

Despite all that, the issue persists. Is there anything account-specific that might be blocking Siri from accessing Messenger?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have had this problem for 3 weeks. Spoken to Apple cusotmer support 4 times. Visited Apple in store. All troubleshooting done 3 times over if not more. Phone erased and set up as new phone. Nothing fixed the problem. Today Apple support told me that this is a known problem but their engineers have confirmed that it is not a Apple issue and I must speak to the Messenger app developer as the problem is with them. Of course it is. And they say the problem is with Apple ............at the end of it all the only solution seems to be "buy and Android next time"
