Cannot "remove" a photo from an iCloud.com album using Edge Browser on Windows 10 Pro

When I upload photos from my Windows 10 Pro PC using Microsoft Edge I often times upload the same photo to multiple personal folders that I had previously created (i.e. I have one folder for each of my three kids). When I upload a photo that has all three of my kids in it, I drag and drop the same photo file into each of the three individual folders. Sometimes I accidentally upload a photo to an incorrect folder. When that happens I am unable to "REMOVE" it from that folder. I am not looking to "DELETE" the photo (because it exists in other folders) I just want to "REMOVE" it from the folder that I accidentally placed the photo in. When I click on the image and select "REMOVE" the action is not performed. It is frustrating to say the least.
