How can I add a 'Line of Best Fit' on my iMac M1 Numbers app?

I have created a scatter chart in Numbers on my M1 Mac. I now want to add a Line of Best Fit. There's nothing in Help, so I tried the Web. Very little there, but one user says I have to open "the Inspector." I've been unable to find this. Can you either tell me where it is or suggest some other way to proceed, please? Thank you.

Hi ArryMan,

The Inspector is the panel on the right. If you can't see it, click on Format.

Click on the Scatter Plot, then click on one of the data points to bring up the Series Tab.

To insert a line of best fit, you need Trendline.

Also, take a look at the Numbers' built in Template Graphing Basics (Charting Basics in USA). File > New (or option key > New from Template Chooser).

Then click here and there within the new document to explore!

Happy Numbering,

Ian.
