I just switched from an iPhone 14 to a 16 and noticed there was a glitch in my calendar. When I try to search for a past appointment, it is not coming up even though I can go back and look for it manually and find it. Is there a fix for this?

A couple things that may help…
Make sure all calendar accounts (iCloud, Google, etc.) are turned on in Settings > Calendar > Accounts, and leave the phone plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi overnight to give it time to finish syncing and indexing.
After that, past events should hopefully start showing up in search again. If that doesn’t do the trick, you could try restarting the phone.
And just double-check that Spotlight Search is enabled for Calendar under Settings > Siri & Search > Calendar.

How old is the appointment? Apple's built in calendar has had a limitation in the past that doesn't allow you to search further back than a year.
Hi Idris. Thank you for the input. Actually, my history seems to be in there from several previous years. I remember two iPhone switches ago having that problem where I only got the current year. Somehow, it fixed itself eventually. Guess it’s just a glitch in the system. As for this problem, you may be able to see in one of my other posts that my grandson figured it out. He said he simply turned off the calendar settings and then turn them back on. Whatever he did seem to work.
