Recovering lost photos after iPhone restore without iCloud backup

I forgot my password and had to have us cellular restore my phone which basically erased everything and I lost YEARS of important and sentimental photos. I apparently did not have icloud photos on, is there any way to recover them?

… I lost YEARS of important and sentimental photos …

But not important enough in all those years to ever think about backing them up?

Seriously ?

iCloud Automatic Backups are “on” by default.

See:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support

iCloud Photos - also “on” by default - automatically maintains a duplicate of all of your photos on iCloud.

Apple actually makes it pretty difficult to NOT have a backup. After all, iPhones are lost, damaged, stolen, and replaced every day.

Def sounds like you’re in a bind.

I suspect US Cellular might have made some mis-steps wrt your Apple Account during their “device recovery” but that’s pure conjecture w/o any solid basis.

If you’re logged-in to your original Apple Account and nothing’s there …

… and you have no “manual” backups retained on a computer …

… It might seem that you’re indeed out of options.
