Safari will always open the last page you were visiting. To accomplish what you want, I would recommend to create a Google link that will appear as an app on your Home Screen. When you tap on it, then Safari will open to the Google page you specify. Follow these steps to do that:

  • Open Safari and navigate to the page you want.
  • Tap the icon on the bottom that looks like a square with an arrow pointing up.
  • Scroll down on the menu that appears until you see Add to Home Screen.
  • Name it whatever you want. This is the name that will appear under an icon on the Home Screen. For example you could name it "Google Search".

Now you can quit Safari and anytime you want to open Safari to that page, just tap the Google Search icon you created on your Home Screen.

You can also create Bookmarks in Safari for pages you want to navigate to frequently and navigate to those in Safari, but it does not change the page that you see when you launch Safari, as that is always the last one you were viewing.
