How to avoid random Siri activations on multiple Apple devices?

It's driving me nuts that everyone when we have guests at home (or even watch something on the TV) someone says "Siri" or "Hey Siri" (eg on a YouTube video) all my devices (mainly the HomePods) either start playing a song or setting a timer depending on what they understand.

Can I somehow turn it off and set Siri to just and only recognize my voice and no-one else's?

Also second question... how can I determine what device is using Siri? Sitting in my office, iPhone on the table, iPad next to me and working on my Mac... I ask Siri to do something and either of the devices just turn it on, most of the time the watch for some reason even when I'm not doing a Michael Knight.

and that's even more confusing when all of the sudden a timer is set randomly on a device but not the one I needed it.

thanks in advance.

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

it's purpose is to share experiences, to try to help people resolve problem which are resolvable, if non of us knows, or if we know what you wish can not currently be accomplished, then all we can do is provide you with that info, and possibly send you along toward apple, in search for more assistance or to let your wishes be. heard.

So it proofs again that "support communities" just dont work. I have to contact Apple support directly

I don't know if it 'proofs' anything, you are the one with the issue.

If I need siri, I push the siri button to initiate siri on my iPhone— I use it all the time.

I do not use Siri on my mac.

I would suggest you make changes and do what works best for you;

if you see room for improvement send in your user feedback.

That’s a bit pointless.

Why would I want to turn off a crucial feature I want to use all over the house?

 must have tested that with several devices in the same room and Siri turned on. Also it can be a security and privacy issue.. imagine a burglar breaks in and comes into a room with a HomePod and he can whisper to turn off all lights and unlock doors.
