Actually, on an international forum where people are always changing regions, it is not a given. When you make a purchase in Music or the App Store, you purchase a license to use. That can change at anytime, but not generally moving from state to state in the same region. You don't really own it. I don't really understand either why it wouldn't work in another state. Do you use Apple Music subscription, or do you just make purchases in Music? I use Apple Music subscription and found the album, actually described as a 4-disc set, and I have the ability to add it to my Library. Was your Apple ID set to the US region when you downloaded the album in California? I would contact iTunes support. You may need to delete the album and download it again. They could help since you did make a purchase.

So why can I have a whole Album one day then go back to it a while later and there are tracks Not Available in My Country?? I live in the UK, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and don’t fly internationally anymore so why can there be a whole album there one minute then literally a day or two later the continuous DJ mix has been made unavailable. Even after I’ve had listen to it countless times previously here is an example of how Apple Music have actually removed the whole Dj Continuous Mix from the entire Album Album

this has happened even when I have ripped a CD in my collection and transferred it to my Apple Music collection. How can Apple Remove a CD that I bought and uploaded to my Apple Music account

I'm certainly not the best at this, and I even struggle sometimes trying to understand how the Apple Music subscription works. I know that when I first changed to Apple Music, I was able to sync with my library, which looked at music that I had already synced via iTunes to my device. When I changed devices, I had to make sure that even though the music was listed in Apple Music, unless you sync the library again with iTunes, many songs will not show up again. I found this Apple Support document to see if this helps. Use Sync Library with your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support

My latest problem is that I now use a Mac and my library of music that I ripped from my CDs is on a Windows computer. I'm not quite sure how to transfer that library from Windows to Mac without messing the entire thing up, so I'm not getting some of my music because there is no match in Apple Music. For example, I have a lot of Garth Brooks music from CD, but it does not exist in Apple Music.

If by CA you mean Canada, then yes, it’s entirely possible it’s available in Canada but it’s not available in the US store.

if by CA, you mean California, then no, it should be available anywhere in the US. Since that move would not have required a country change to your Apple Account.

What country is your Apple Account actually set to?

Also, it’s entirely possible, that the artist has in fact stopped it from being available in the entire U.S., so it won”t be available in Texas or California either.

Thanks. Yes the abbrevs were states. Highly unlikely that the artist stopped availability in the us or even cali since it’s Metallica’s Blacklist album. They are from cali. Also many different term searches have revealed nothing about any play rights being revoked. Besides, I PURCHASED it, not rented. As far as I’m concerned, I own a copy to play at my will.
