get bad file discriptor error when trying to add current prin

unable to get printer to work with mac. It has always worked before. When I bring up printers and scanners it shows my printer but when I try to add it I get the bad file discriptor error. The printer works with my I-phone. I know that all units are connected to the internet

Are you adding it as an AirPrint printer?

If not, remove the existing printer in Printers & Scanners, and add it again. You must explicitly choose AirPrint.
