PHPhotosErrorDomain error -1 on iPhone 11: Unable to save live photos, black screen in camera and QR code scanner

Hello,

For context I have an iphone 11 version iOS 17.5.1 ,

For a while I have been noticing some defects with my phone, most noticeably when opening the qr code scanner and the camera where the screen may go black with the white display icons still visible. Most recently, as of today, I have been unable to edit photos, save live photos to video (unable to download photos from the cloud?), share photos directly from the photo app and have also been unsuccessful in uploading photos on other apps as well. When I try to select or edit a photo, it displays the message:

PHPhotosErrorDomain error -1

And thats it, my photos are pixelated and low quality, I am unable to visibly access them. I do not have 12.54 GB to update my phone to iOS 18, and frankly dont want to as the new update looks ugly. I am hoping that the solution is not to upgrade to a new phone as I believe there is a lot of life and potential left in my trusty 11 and dont really have a spare three hundo. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
