MacBook Pro 2021 (A2485) domain authentication login issue

Hello dear Apple!

I have a MacBook Pro 2021 (A2485). My colleague set up domain authentication on the device, and before he went on vacation, he could log in with his account just fine.

However, I can't log into my account, even though I don't have this problem when using Windows (in the same domain).

On the lock screen, where you enter the login details, I can't see which Wi-Fi network it's connected to (how do you fix this?). Even when I plug in the Ethernet cable, it’s still unclear whether I'm connected to the network or not.

I reset my colleague's password in Active Directory to something simpler, and tried logging in using his account as well, but that didn’t help.

It feels like the system hasn't saved any previous logins and won’t let any new accounts log in.

What should I do? Any advice? (I'd prefer a system reset to factory settings to be the last resort, thanks.)

Are you using the Active Directory tool for the Mac?

Are you on the same LAN on both Windows and PC?

Are you assinging the workgroup on the Mac?

Does the Activity directory tool show a green dot that it is provisioned for that domain?

Is there a VPN to get into the LAN on either Mac or PC?

What's hosting the Active Directory controller?

Does it have the host name or Mac's shortname listed in its list of acceptable computers?

Are you using any mobile device management tools like Kaseya, JAMF, Netconsole or Intune?
