Screenshot control bar stuck to MacBook Pro display

I have a MacBook Pro with an external display.

When I use the screenshot utility, I cannot drag the control bar for taking screenshot to my external monitor.

The only area that I can drag this bar around is my laptop's display, which I don't use the primary display.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks for your reply.

What I mean by "control bar for taking screenshot" is the bar that appears when you press Shift+CMD+5.
It gives you Options (where to save the screenshot and timers, etc.) and has the Capture button.
On my old MacBook Pro, I could drag this around wherever I wanted.
On my new MacBook Pro, it is stuck on my laptop's display. I'm unable to drag it to my main, external display.

Hope this helps understanding the issue.

I presented alternatives above.

The current stable release of Sequoia  including bug fixes,  security updates  is macOS 15.5
