VoiceOver on Safari announces a ARIA live region update twice

When focusing an element inside an iframe that contains a container with role="application", VoiceOver on Safari announces a aria-live region update twice. Despite adding delays and resetting the live region content to prevent duplicate announcements, VoiceOver still repeats the message.

What can be done for this? Any setting related to this? Or is there any bug present in safari.
