com.apple.beyondtrust.bootstrap file in Library

In my ~/library is a com.apple. beyondtrust.bootstrap folder and there's also a folder for it in Library cache. After some research, one function for the software is remote access. It appears to be an invisible file/folder as after finding it in cache and searching there were no result yet I then found it in the main Library directory. I've gotten conflicting info online - some info says to not delete it and other info says to remove it if you don't know how it got there. Could it be left over from allowed remote access? Not long ago I allowed yahoo access to fix an issue with my yahoo mail. Although it couldn't have been from that as the dates are different, could it have been from another time I allowed remote access? Also, my laptop shared the same wifi with my work computer and often IT would remotely access my work PC when there was an issue - if this was software they used it seems odd it would end up on my laptop but just throwing that out there in case that is a possibility. I'm no longer with that company so I can't reach out and ask them if that's software they used for remote access. I want to delete it if it's not needed and if any advice received agrees, how do I find if it's elsewhere as it doesn't come up in search results? screen shot attached.

There are thousands of little files that macOS uses, and for most of them none of us common users has a clue as to what they are for.

The best advice we can give is not to drill down the Library folders looking for odd stuff, because you will find plenty.

If you are not having a problem with your mac, just enjoy it.

Talk about "burying the lede!" Yes, the fact that you were using the computer in a hot environment would cause your fan to work extra hard. Yes, the fact that your battery needs to be service could be causing your computer to overheat. Continuing to use anything with failing rechargeable battery in extreme heat can be dangerous.

Digging around in the Library will not fix anything. Nothing there is causing this problem.

Make arrangements to have your battery serviced:

Thanks for the reply. I was experiencing an ongoing and accelerating fan. I checked the activity monitor and didn't see any process with a super high cpu usage other than windowserver and it wasn't alarming high. But after checking online I found info regarding windowserver cache that can be deleted. That's why I accessed the library. I found some left over files from 2 different online photo apps downloads used during a free promotion and not again after the promo. Since I found those remains I looked if there was anything else like that to delete - that's how I came across the folder in question. So you're suggesting I just ignore it? Question - the cache folder for both libraries, is it ok to delete the content or do you suggest to leave them as is? I haven't deleted the content of either yet. As for the fan, after a clean up of browser cache and changing a few chrome setting it's better. When the fan activity was really bad the other day it was 100 degrees out and my air stopped working so probably contributed it. Plus, I saw my battery needs to be serviced. Would a battery that needs to be serviced heat a laptop being used while plugged in?
