What are the best base options for Mac mini M4 Pro?

They are all ridiculously overpriced but I got one on a well known Chinese website for a quarter the price which is more or less what they are worth. I note that they have now doubled in price at around £8 - £11

I had to wait a week for delivery.

It enables me to put one or two NVMes under it but as for giving access to the Power button, don't bother.

It works well but it's no big deal every few weeks to slightly tilt the machine for one second!

. . . . and there's me thinking I'm a skinflint!

I wasn't bothered about accessing the button as it is a "non-problem" invented by journalists with not much to write about.

My stand was dirt cheap and enabled me to stick a couple of NVMes under it. As I have 3 Mac minis and 27" monitors plus a 32" TV on my desk I wanted to save a bit of space.

My M4 Mac Mini Pro is tilted onto its right side so all I have to do in the morning is reach under the LG display and press the power button on the bottom of the mini. No additional purchases or clever engineering required.

My older M2 Mac Mini Pro was on its side until I replaced it with the M4 Mac Mini Pro. Experienced no issues with either unit on its side, then, or now. Likely an improved Wi-Fi connection as well in this orientation.

Reiterating all that has been said about the moronic power button position… 🧐

I did this to raise up the Mini so it's easier to get to the Power button:

And the price was right, about $0.40 each. It works like a charm. No more fumbling to turn it on.

Do we know whether the orientation of the fan will have any effect on its longevity and the mini will also be less stable. Probably won't matter but I am a bit of a pessimist.
