How do I restrict my child from changing the time zone on his iPhone?

Hi letmeeditmyownstufffs,

To prevent the child's device from manually changing the time you will need to complete a short setup.

To do this you will need the Child's device first.

• First Turn on Set Automatically in Settings > General > Date & Time. This automatically sets your date and time based on your time zone.

Exit back to the Main Screen of Settings

• Then in Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy Restrictions -> Location Services, Enter Screen Time code.

• Under Location Services scroll to the bottom and in System Services and find Time Zone and make sure it’s turned on.

• Now go up one level and on top click on Don’t Allow Changes to prevent the setting being changed back.

After these steps return to main Settings screen using the back button, otherwise you allow your kids to access these Parental settings without passcode.

If this has worked you should be able to return to time settings and the automatic time setting should be on but greyed out.

If this hasn't worked try the steps above again and if everything seems to be setup correctly go back to your phone. Turn parental controls for the kid off and on. This may remove some downtime settings so only do this if you're sure the steps above have been completed correctly.

Are you using Parental Controls on your kids iPhone. If you are, I believe you can prevent time zone changes in Settings Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Setting Time Zone.
