How to recover deleted files from disconnected iCloud on MacBook?

Hi,

I really need help. I recently disconnected iCloud from my iPhone because I wanted to free up some space, thinking it would just stop syncing — but it ended up deleting everything from my MacBook as well.

Now all my files are gone — I’ve checked iCloud.com, the “Recently Deleted” section, and my Mac’s Trash, but nothing is there. It’s like everything vanished.

These files were very important (personal, work, and school-related), and I’m really hoping there’s a way Apple can recover them from iCloud’s servers.

Please let me know if anything can be done. I haven't synced anything new since the deletion.

You could try calling Apple

https://getsupport.apple.com/solutions

I'm pretty sure they don't offer much help for this sort of thing, but it can't hurt.

I know that when I ask my phone to turn off iCloud Photos, I get a warning like the:

that lets me know that I need to be sure my stuff is protected. Turning off iCloud Drive gets something similar.

Have you checked to see that you're looking at the right Apple ID? If so, and if you don't maintain your own backups, then there's really no place else to go.
