Why does my iPhone default to music when I’ve most recently been listening to audible

In the last couple of days, my iPhone 14 Pro Max has been defaulting to the music app (that is t even open) when I have paused my audible book for a few minutes (or less). It’s driving me nuts! Help!

Apple music opening and playing automatically Since the latest iOS update (16.5.1), my iPhone (14 Pro) is starting to play music automatically through the speaker at random times (at worst it is about every 10min, until I power down the phone). Autoplay is not active and I am not connecting to any Bluetooth headphones or Car play. The app itself is not open, but shows on the locked screen. I have followed the instructions in past posts on this issue, but the setting everyone is saying to turn off is not even on. How can I stop this from occurring?

Ios18 Apple Music starts on its own Several times a day my iPhone starts playing music in Music app. It is streaming from Apple Music that I loaded years ago. I do not have a subscription, mostly because of this issue. I do not accidentally press play. iPhone is sitting on my desk or in my pocket. No apps are open, I don’t leave them running. Music app is not open or running in background (I never use it). Only bluetooth device connected is my apple watch, and hearing aids. It happens anywhere I am, often while driving or reading a document on my ipad. Only way I can stop it is to open apple music app, press pause, then swipe up to close it.
