Error "update cannot be installed" while initiating macOS update on my Mac

How much free space do you have on your boot drive. System upgrades require a minimum of 50 GB of free space before it can install.

Also it's good practice to try to maintain a minimum of 80-100 GB of free space to facilitate optimum system and application performance.

"Error 'update cannot be installed' while initiating macOS update on my Mac: Have a software update notification. I initiate the update and I get the message 'update cannot be installed.' checked with apple support and it said this update is with a different software. I am not sure what that means."
