Can Apple Mail automatically add one signature for new messages and a different one for replies?

I know I can set Apple Mail to automatically add a signature to my emails but is there a way to set a second, (shorter) signature to reply emails automatically? Or do I have to remember to change the signature every single time I reply to an email (which is not practical)?
