My MacPro 2013 won't update to Monterey when I HAVE the genuineApple media
I get the "firmware update could not be installed. Compatible Internal storage is required in order to update."
My Mac Pro late 2013 (64GB/1TB) had the original small SSD replaced by a genuine Apple 1 TB that I bought at the local retail Apple Store (at an insane price several years ago) and that reports as genuine Apple in the hardware. I've tried Safe Boot, etc. and nothing seems to get around it. Even OLCP insists that you need the most recent firmware before using it so even that is not a work-around. My Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop will not update because they require Monterey. I love this Mac. Does anyone have any suggestions to get by this erroneous software fault?
