Accidentally Clicked Remove From Home View in the Climate Category View - Gone Forever

In the Home App I was on the Home view. I clicked the Climate category. Then I accidentally clicked Remove From Home View on my thermostat. The thermostat no longer shows up under Climate. It is still on the top level Home view. There appears to be a separate setting for an accessory to be in the Climate category of the Home view vs the regular Home view.

I have tried going into the thermostat Accessory Settings and turning off Add to Home View, quitting the app, launching Home again and turning Add to Home View back on. But, it is still missing from the Climate Home view.

I have a bunch of scenes and automations that include the thermostat and do not. want to have to set them all back up again if I remove and re-add the thermostat from HomeKit.

I’m not sure how you can put it back. Are you able to press on the thermostat tile in the Home tab until it jiggles and drag it over to left pane of Climate? I’m looking on my iPad so there is a “left pane”

I don’t know if temporarily removing Home from iCloud then putting back will help it repopulate either. To do that you’d go into settings on your device in Your Name (at the top) > iCloud and in the Saved to iCloud section > See All and disable the Home button, then re- enable it afterwards. Just make sure you do an iCloud back up first to save. Mine backs up automatically overnight so it’s always saved.
