Transcribe to captions: error downloading language

I have used the automatic transcription of Final Cut Pro 11 successfully before, but now as I'm trying to do Edit->Captions->Transcribe to Captions, I get this:

Needless to say, I am connected to the internet, as I am posting this on the very same Mac.

It could be just some temporary glitch, and I intend to give it some time and try again later, but I welcome any suggestions.

And no, I don't have any "antivirus" or "cleaners" or network filters or vpn software. I firmly advocate against using any of these on macs.

Thank you for your reply, Ben.

I have tested in a new user account, and it worked there.

Maybe it is a preference thing (I did not try deleting preferences yet, as it was not something crucial at the moment, and the application is otherwise working as expected, but I plan to).

What this is supposed to is to use AI to automatically transcribe the audio and make captions accordingly. When it works, it is quite good.

And guess what... I tried it again just now, and it's working!

I don't know if it was a transient glitch, or if downloading the necessary files using a different account was the solution.

It did a pretty decent job to create captions for a nearly 12 minute video with English narration.

I just had to correct some Portuguese names that were mentioned, otherwise it was nearly perfect.
