How to identify and remove duplicate Final Cut Pro files?

I reorganized my many FCP folders, creating new libraries and aligning copied events. I rec'd a prompt that my 4TB Mac HD is almost full (140MB). Is it safe to delete some duplicated FCP files on my HD, and what&where are they?

If you delete things in a Library, do it inside the Library. Right-click, "Move To Trash."

Also, before you do anything else, try this; Go to FCP's Settings, turn off Background Rendering. Then delete all your render files.

I use Arctic, but I manage many Libraries and am always using it. There are some less expensive apps that do nothing but delete render files. I forget who makes these apps, but I've seen them around.

Just to clarify BenB's instructions in case there's any confusion, "do it inside the Library" means from within FCP with the libraries loaded, not inside the Library at the Finder level. There are some instructions on the net to navigate into the library bundle and delete files inside. That's not a good idea unless you really know what you're doing because it's possible to irreparably damage the library.
