Unable to install Apple Music on Windows 10 PC (64 bit)

Hello. I downloaded the executable file from the Microsoft store but every time I try to open it I get an error message saying "We couldn't verify your eligibility for this app".  It then takes me back to the same store page and suggests trying again. And exactly the same thing happens. I tried contacting the support forum for MS but every time I try to ask a question I just get a 'something went wrong' error message. So I'm hoping to have more luck with the good people of Apple...

I've been subscribing to Apple Music for a couple of years now and have no problem running the app on my android smartphone. But I want to run the app on my PC as well now, so I can get lossless music there too.

Can you advise me on how to install the AM app on my PC without going through the MS Store, please?
