Disappointed by Duolingo Refund Handling via App Store

I accidentally subscribed to Duolingo Plus and was charged a large amount. I contacted Apple Support immediately and explained my financial difficulties, hoping for understanding.

Sadly, my refund request was denied twice, without any real consideration. I feel unheard and unsupported as a loyal Apple user.

This experience has made me lose trust in making in-app purchases. I hope Apple reconsiders how refund cases are handled, especially for unused subscriptions.

You can't accidentally subscribe to anything on an Apple device using the App Store app.

You can't even download a free app without agreeing to do so by physically double-clicking the side button to authorize the download and installation. The screen on which you authorize a download would show you the exact amount of any purchase that you are making.
