All my levels are perfect except the metronome is virtually silent
Hello there! I am remaking my little recording setup and am experiencing some difficulties with the metronome in Logic. I am using a Mac Mini with a Scarlett 2i2 as my audio interface. I am using the Focusrite as my audio output, with a pair of wired 3.5mm aux apple earbuds using an adapter.
I also have a MIDI keyboard connected.
All my levels are perfect in logic, and my scarlett 2i2 is set to the middle for everything. Despite this, I cannot make the metronome loud enough to hear at all. If I turn up any settings within logic the metronome starts to peak and sound terrible. If I turn up my scarlett I have to make the piano -30 db to match it. It is entirely impossible to hear the metronome and play at the same time. Anything I do to make the metronome louder results in peaking or horrible quality. Otherwise I have to lower everything so quiet I literally cannot hear anything. I am going crazy and just want to make some music!
Below is a picture showing that my keyboard levels are low but my metronome is maxed. In my earbuds the piano is reasonable and the metronome is a feint whisper of a click.
