Having issues with my long standing email address. I tried emailing myself and even that says my icloud email address is invalid. Please advise.

Not aware of any issue when sending the email. I then receive a message saying invalid email address, when it is correct as some I have been useing for years and they have not changed.

Some calls like a Gp ringing from my private health insurance, will go directly to voicemail. If one of my friends visit ( we are all on Giffgaff) and I give her number for the Gp to call me then it comes through ok.
Also, if I ask Amazon to call me, it will always go directly to voicemail. Why would this happen? Thsnk you so much.

Have checked in settings but it is not set on silence unknown callers so it’s just very strange. Amazon customer service can no longer call me. Their calls go straight to voicemail.

Don’t try emailing yourself. That often results in issues.
Can you send emails to others?
Can you receive emails from others?
Is your address in the form “xyz@icloud.com”?

This certainly sounds like it’s referring to the recipient’s email address, not yours.
Perhaps you have set:
Settings > Apps > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers.
