Airport Utility can't find my Apple Airport Express A1392 after a factory reset

I was having difficulty in getting my Apple Airport Express A1392 to accept the change of IP address I had requested via my FritzBox router and I chose to carry out a factory reset of the Airport Express to see if that would make a difference. The router now claims that the change of IP address has been implemented, but the Airport Express (which has a wired Ethernet connection) doesn't show up when I run a network IP scanner.

The key problem is that I can't complete the configuration of the Airport Express (whose LED is blinking amber), as the Airport Utility on my iPad fails to find it.

Resetting my router and further resets of the Airport Express have made no difference. Where do I go from here?

AirPort

if it was me then I would pull the plug on the express and let it start up and if that did not resolve the issue

then I would connect a computer laptop desktop mac or windows does not really matter, by ethernet cable to the express ethernet port and then use airport utility on the computer, then you get a sure connection and you get to see what the amber error code indicates

This also had the result of making it visible to Airport Utility on my iPad.

Maybe a tip for the future.....if you perform a Factory Default Reset on any AirPort router......and.....you want to use an iPad (or iPhone) with the AirPort......you must first do the following on the iOS device......

Tap Settings

Tap WiFi

Tap on Set Up AirPort Base Station

This will open up AirPort Utility to automatically guide you through the setup. Once you have the AirPort set up again, you can tap on AirPort Utility to "see" the settings on the AirPort.

Thanks, Rudegar. You helped me resolve the problem and I now have a green LED on my Airport Express :)

After installing the Airport Utility on my Windows 11 laptop I was able to access my Airport Express via Wi-Fi and was able to update its configuration to meet my needs. This also had the result of making it visible to Airport Utility on my iPad.
