How do I import audio from vinyl using garage band

I have a Sony turntable with RCA outputs. I have an RCA to USB connector. Can I use this to record audio from a vinyl record to my MacBook Pro using Garage Band?

USB recording LP to GarageBand on iMac Do I need a USB to lightning adapter to record to GarageBand on a 2019 iMac? The AT-LP20 USB turntable has a standard USB connector that isn't working on my iMac. Gotta bunch of LP's to transfer to MP3. Thanks! Greg

Yes. When you create a new track you should be able to set the Record player as an input.

However, Audacity might be a better tool for this job since it has things like pop filters.
