Hi everyone,
I recently updated my Mac to the macOS 15 beta (version 26), but I’ve noticed that it's extremely laggy and not performing well on my device. I’m now looking to downgrade back to a stable version of macOS, but I’m not sure what the safest and most reliable process is.
Could someone guide me on how to properly downgrade to a previous version like Sonoma or Ventura? Ideally, I’d like to do this without losing my data — but I’m open to a clean install if necessary. Any help or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Can you clarify this statement " I recently updated my Mac to the macOS 15 beta (version 26), "
There are unconfirmed reports of a Beta Sequoia 15.6
But this same reports indicates this 15.6 Beta has only been released to Developers and Not to Beta Tester, Yet
Then, there is the issue where you include " (version 26) " which is the newest version macOS 26 Tahoe
Qualifying computers for macOS 26 Tahoe and need to scroll to bottom
This Tahoe macOS 26 has also been recently released to Only Developers and not to Beta Testers - Yet
To have acquired either of these softwares, you have had to a Developer Account with Apple
Is that true and accurate
If so, you should already know the answers to your questions
In either cases, follow the advice from @ leroydouglas
