Unable to turn on Find My on MacBook Pro after service

I had to get my MacBook Pro serviced for a bad display. Find My and Location services were turned off as usual, but now I can't get Find My to turn on again, even after trying every step I've found online, even signing out and back in again and restarting those services.

I recently experienced a similar problem getting Find My to be enabled on a MacBook Air.

My fix was to boot in recovery mode and run Disk Utility's First Aid on the internal startup drive.

After rebooting I was able to enable the feature without further issue.
