Emails that come in from the same sender are showing old subjects

Emails that come in from the same sender are showing old subjects. For example, my bank. Every month I get a statement. The timestamp will have yeaterday’s date, but the subject will have February’s statement. And when I click on it, it will take me to the Feb Statement email, but I might have 3 more statements, and maybe an important message or 2 that I miss because it’s just showing the first subject from that sender that’s in my inbox. Ideally it would be showing me the most recent subject from that sender.

I’m sure there is a setting I need to change, but I’m just not sure.
