Safari not saving new bookmarks (Sequoia 15.4.1)

Safari for Sequoia 15.4.1 has my current bookmarks, but doesn't seem to save new ones.

I'll load Safari and my bookmarks are there. I'll add a couple new ones, and they show up in the bookmarks menu bar as I expect. After I quit Safari and relaunch it, all the new ones are not there.

Any ideas?

Safari does not save edits to Favorites I am using Safari 17.0 on a 24" iMac running Sonoma 14.0. I have no problem editing the Favorites bookmarks (adding and deleting them) and everything is fine until I quit Safari. When I launch Safari again, the Favorites have reverted back to the original default and the edits are not saved. Am I missing something simple or what?

I can't make bookmarks on Safari. I am running Sonoma 14.0 on Mac Air M2. I can't make bookmarks on Safari. Would appreciate any suggestions. Have very slow internet connection where I am so haven't done the update on Sonoma. This has been going on for about a month.
