If I had your controller issues, here's what I'd troubleshoot:
- Get a Klein USB test tool and see what power is being fed to your controller. I use a powered hub to run my USB devices, and I have had to upgrade to a bigger hub when I got a condenser mic and discovered with a multimeter that it was only getting 26V at the XLR power pin on the cable going into the mic. AKG specs say it requires 46 to 52 volts. A powered hub supplying much more amperage solved my problem.
- I'd use a MIDI app to see what MIDI messages (CC #'s and Values) are being sent when you press the buttons, etc., that aren't working for you. Are they matching the MIDI Map of the virtual instrument or effect you're trying to control with them?
I'm not overlooking that it worked before on an older version of Logic Pro, but power can be an issue if you have a MacBook running on battery power and it's running all of your USB devices. There's a lot going on in LP 11.2.
My Roland Keyboard MIDI controller is working fine with Logic Pro. Maybe because I use a powered hub and I'm running Logic Pro on a Mac Mini, which only has wall power, no battery to maintain.
At least you can eliminate power and MIDI issues as being the cause.
It's worth exploring.
