How to update a child's birthdate in Family Sharing on Apple ID?

Hello,

I am the organizer of a Family Sharing group and I would like to update the birthdate on my child's Apple ID. The current birthdate is incorrect, and I need assistance in correcting it. The account belongs to my child, and it is part of my Family Sharing group.

Please let me know what steps are required to verify my identity and make this change.

If the birthdate is set such that the age is less than 13 years old, you cannot change it and would need to contact Apple Support directly to have it changed

If it's set to an age 13 or over, then you can change it by logging into the child account at https://account.apple.com and edit the birthdate there in the "Personal Information" section.
