How do I fix an iPod Classic 6th gen that won't turn on?

Back in February this iPod got bricked and i could not get it out of recovery mode. yesterday i thought i had a solution but i cant test it because when i plugged it in(its been over 2 hours) it won't turn on. i cant get it to turn on. i am going to try leaving it off for 48 hours but i don't think it will help because before i did that, it had been of for over 2 weeks. any ideas on how to fix this? I'm going to look through apple support pages until it fixes. I made the post about it being bricked but it was so long ago apple closed it.
